Sagaing Region Faced The Most Widespread Humanitarian Crises

Three years after the coup, more than 233 townships experienced clashes, each defined by at least one mutual shooting. ISP-Myanmar conducted a study to assess the humanitarian crisis level in these townships using the Humanitarian Crises Index based on the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The study found that over 93 townships faced high humanitarian crises. Sagaing Region was facing the most widespread humanitarian crises, with 29 townships affected, followed by Shan State and Rakhine State, with nine townships.
