Karenni Defense Forces Attempting to Seize Loikaw

The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) and its allies launched ‘Operation 1111’ on November 11, 2023. During this operation, at least 50 armed clashes with State Administration Council (SAC) forces have been recorded. Allied resistance forces attacked at least 15 SAC positions, seized Nammekon town and have been attempting to gain control of Loikaw. The number of armed conflicts has intensified in Pekon Township along the Shan-Karenni State border, with at least twelve recorded incidents.
