Aung Thu Nyein is the Director of Communications at ISP Myanmar. He is a former student activist in 1988 Democracy Movement and took leadership several positions in exile democracy movement. He read Masters in Public Administration (M. P.A) at Harvard University in 2002. He co-founded Vahu Development Institute (VDI) along with other expatriates in 2006, which is focusing on policy advocacy on democratization and strengthening civil society in Burma/Myanmar. He returned to Myanmar after 2011country's political reforms and joined in the Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) of Myanmar Development Institute (MDRI). (from 2012- until 2014 Dec). He is pursuing a Ph.D. study on development administration at National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Bangkok.
