The Myanmar Quarterly မဟာဗျူဟာနှင့် မူဝါဒရေးရာဂျာနယ်ကို ပထမအကြိမ်အဖြစ် စာဖတ်သူများလက် ပို့ဆောင် မိတ်ဆက်နိုင်ခဲ့ပြီ ဖြစ်တဲ့အတွက် ဝမ်းမြောက်စကား ဆိုပါရစေ။ မဟာ ဗျူဟာနှင့် မူဝါဒဆိုင်ရာ လေ့လာရေးအဖွဲ့ Institute for Strategy and Policy: Myanmar (ISP Myanmar) ၏ လုပ်ငန်းစီမံကိန်း တစ်ခုအဖြစ် The Myanmar Quarterly ဂျာနယ်ကို သုံးလတစ်ကြိမ် ထုတ်ဝေသွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ISP Myanmar ၏ အဓိရည်မှန်းချက်မှာ ဒီမိုကရေစီကျသော ခေါင်းဆောင်မှုကို မြှင့်တင်ခြင်းနှင့် အရပ်ဘက်ပြည်သူများ နိုင်ငံရေးရာများတွင် ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုကို အားကောင်း ထိရောက်အောင် ပံပိုးခြင်းဖြစ်သည့်အလျောက် The Myanmar Quarterly ဂျာနယ်၏ သဘောထားများမှာလည်း ယင်းကို အပြည့်အ၀ ထင်ဟပ်ရန် ရည်သန်ပါသည်။ ရေရှည်တွင် ဂျာနယ်ကို မြန်မာ၊ အင်္ဂလိပ် နှစ်ဘာသာဖြင့် ထုတ်ဝေလိုပါသည်။ အဆိုပါအစီအစဉ် မဖြစ်မြောက်သေးသော လတ်တလောကာလတွင် မြန်မာဘာသာ ဖြင့်သာ ထုတ်ဝေပြီး ဆောင်းပါးများ၏ အဆုံးတွင် ဆောင်းပါး၏ ဆိုလိုရင်း အနှစ်ချုပ်ကို အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာဖြင့် အကျဉ်းချုံး ဖော်ပြထားပါသည်။
The Myanmar Quarterly ဂျာနယ်တွင် ခေတ်ပြိုင် မြန်မာ့နိုင်ငံရေးအတွက် ဆီလျော် အရေးပါသည်ဟု အယ်ဒီတာအဖွဲ့က ယူဆသော အကြောင်းအရာ တစ်ရပ်ရပ်ကို မျက်နှာဖုံးခေါင်းစဉ်ပေး၍ သုတေသီများ၊ မြန်မာ့အရေး လေ့လာသူများ၏ ရှုထောင့်မျိုးစုံဖြင့် ရေးသားချက်များ၊ အဆိုပါ အကြောင်းအရာနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့် ရှိသူများနှင့် ဆက်သွယ် မေးမြန်းချက်များ၊ ဆီလျော်သော စာအုပ်သုံးသပ်ချက်များကို ထည့်သွင်း ဖော်ပြသွားမည် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ဤသို့ ခေါင်းစဉ်သတ်မှတ် အလေးပေးခြင်းအားဖြင့် ယင်းအကြောင်းအရာနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ သုတေသီများ၊ မူဝါဒချမှတ်သူများ၊ နိုင်ငံရေးပါတီများ၊ နိုင်ငံရေး လှုပ်ရှားသူများ၊ မီဒီယာများနှင့် ပြည်သူများအကြား အထောက်အထားအခြေပြု၊ ယဉ်ကျေးသော ဆွေးနွေးဖလှယ်မှုများ ဖြစ်ထွန်းလာရန် မျှော်မှန်းပါသည်။ ယခု ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် ထုတ်ဝေသော The Myanmar Quarterly ဂျာနယ်တွင် ဒီမိုကရေစီတစ်ပိုင်း စပ်ကြားအုပ်စိုးမှုစနစ်အောက်ရှိ အရပ်ဘက် အဖွဲ့အစည်းများ၏ နိုင်ငံရေးဟူသည့် ခေါင်းစဉ်ဖြင့် တင်ဆက်ထားပါသည်။

It is with pleasure that we introduce you to the first issue of The Myanmar Quarterly journal. The Institute for Strategy and Policy – Myanmar (ISP -Myanmar) publishes the Myanmar Quarterly journal in order to achieve our two goals of promoting democratic leadership and strengthening civic participation. The journal addresses thematic topics that are relevant to contemporary Myanmar politics. The journal is a quarterly and publishes every three months. A wide range of Myanmar experts and researchers contribute articles, interviews and book reviews to offer their research findings and views on the relevant topic. In this inaugural issue, the thematic topic is the politics of civil society in hybrid regime. In addition to this theme, this issue also provides other sections that include special features, perspectives and research findings on issues relevant to Myanmar. We believe the Myanmar Quarterly will offer informed debate and deliberation on important issues, which in turn will help to promote democratic leadership and strengthen civic participation in our country.
